Cardiff Central Liberal Democrat MP Jenny Willott, and Cardiff Central Liberal Democrat AM Jenny Randerson will be going out on patrol with the Cardiff Council Night Time Noise Pollution Team this Friday (19th March).
The Night Time Noise officers work from 7pm Thursday to Sunday to provide an out of hours noise service for residents disturbed by night time noise. Jenny Willott MP and Jenny Randerson AM will be accompanying officers on Friday evening to gain an understanding of the problems caused by noise pollution in Cardiff Central and the work done by the Noise Pollution Team.
Jenny Willott MP commented: “Noise pollution can seriously affect the quality of life for local residents and I often hear from constituents about the problems it causes them in Cardiff Central. I know that the Cardiff Noise Pollution team works very hard to help residents disturbed by noise nuisance and I look forward to spending time with the night time officers and seeing the team in action.”
The Lib Dem led Cardiff Council was the first Council in Wales to introduce an Out of Hours Noise Pollution Service in 2008.
