A special assembly was held recently at Ysgol Dewi Sant to present certificates to all the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award holders.
Last year, forty pupils at the school successfully achieved Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards, twenty-nine at Bronze level, and ten at Silver while Head Boy Tom Thurstan has recently completed his Gold Award. He is to be invited to St James Palace to receive his certificate.
The certificates were presented by Dave Sommerville, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Co-ordinator for Pembrokeshire, and Councillor Huw George, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People, Learning and the Welsh Language, who both congratulated all the pupils involved.
