North Wales Police have confirmed that a man has this afternoon (Friday, 19th March) been charged in connection with the robbery at a travel agent in Prestatyn on Tuesday, 9th March.
44-year-old Ian Peter Hughes, who is from the Merseyside area, has been charged with robbery, possession of an offensive weapon and being unlawfully at large from prison.
He was arrested during the early hours of yesterday morning in Liverpool and was later questioned by detectives in St Asaph.
He has been remanded to appear before Llandudno Magistrates tomorrow (Saturday, 20th March).
