Diesel worth thousands stolen

Police in the Kinmel Bay area are appealing for witnesses and information after over £25,000 worth of diesel was stolen from the area.

22,000 litres of road diesel and a further 10,000 of red diesel were stolen from two tankers at premises on the Tir Llwyd Enterprise Park.

The theft is believed to have happened sometime between 5pm on Saturday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 6. Local officers are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area or who may have seen any big tankers leaving the site to contact them immediately.

PC 2212 Williams, is one of the officers investigating, he said: “Once access was gained to the site, the offender or offenders damaged tankers that are situated at the back of the premises and siphoned the diesel.”

He added: “Inquiries are already underway and CCTV footage from the vicinity is being studied as part of the investigation. I urge anyone who may have seen any vehicles leaving the site or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the vicinity to contact us as they may hold vital information which may assist with the investigation.”
