The Welsh Conservatives have raised concerns about vandalism to the rock commemorating the flooding of Tryweryn.
Leader of the Opposition Nick Bourne AM has written today to the Heritage Minister, urging him to ensure the slogan ‘Cofiwch Dryweryn’ is restored to its former state.
Mr Bourne said:
“It is deeply disappointing that the slogan has been defaced.
“The rock and the slogan hold immense iconic and historic significance for both the local area and the country more widely.
“I am calling on the Minister to take urgent action to restore the slogan to its former state, as it holds great important in Wales’ history and heritage.”
