Yet again Cardiff based post-punk-pop electro combo Sicknote are doing their best to denigrate democracy. Like some latter-day Sex pistols they try and put down our democratic right to vote with an infantile song called Vote: Party Party.
Our Grandfathers and Great-Grandfathers fought to keep this great country of ours free from tyranny and our Great-Grandmothers fought for the women’s vote. Yet, with only less than a week to go to the most important General Election Wales has seen for many decades, these so-called pop musicians think it is appropriate to belittle the democratic process.
We at Welsh Icons have been passed a rough-cut of their latest promotional video and after viewing their infantile efforts we have passed the tapes to the appropriate authorities.
DCI Suidae of the South Wales Police has told us that the force would be looking into our complaint.
When asked for a statement, the self-styled Johan Flapsandwich of the band told us:
“Safe Bra” which we took to be some reference to a ladies undergarment.
