Police in Pembrokeshire have arrested six suspected drug dealers as part of Operation Poker.
Within the last 24 hours Drugs with a street value of £8,200 destined for the streets of Pembrokeshire was also recovered.
Operation Poker is a multi-agency operation aimed at addressing heroin in the county.
Since January 20 people have been arrested for drug dealing and over £18,000 worth of drugs have been seized.
One man was arrested as he got off the train at Haverfordwest train station, four people were arrested in Fleming Crescent and one in Goat Street. The six people arrested are currently being questioned at Haverfordwest Police Station.
Superintendent Reg Bevan said: “Dyfed Powys Police every day seek to rid our communities of drugs.
“This action is just part of what we do. Working with the council and other agencies we are also looking at reducing the demand for heroin in the county by education and treatment for existing users.
“Drugs can cause misery and we do not want to see heroin get a grip on our communities.

Pembrokeshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Sustainability, Councillor David Simpson, stressed that the authority was committed to working closely with Dyfed-Powys Police to deal with problems caused by drug abuse in properties owned by the council.
He warned: “If drugs are found stored at, or being dealt from, a Council property then appropriate action will be taken against the tenancy. This could include going to court to evict the tenant.”
