Denbighshire has been given the all clear on its asbestos management process following an inspection by the Health and Safety Executive.
Inspectors carried out a review on Denbighshire’s management of asbestos in March and have now written to the council confirming they are happy with the process and have formally discharged an improvement notice, which had been issued to the council in 2008.
Denbighshire’s Corporate Health and Safety Manager, Helen Tapley-Taylor, said: “Staff across the council have worked extremely hard over the last two years to improve our asbestos management processes and I am very pleased with the HSE’s decision to discharge the notice.”
