Smashing summer kids’ shows

Postman Pat and Fireman Sam are heading for Rhondda Cynon Taf this summer, as part of Cultural Services’ fantastic Child’s Play season.

Kicking off this season of Child’s Play is the story of How The Koala Learnt To Hug at The Muni Arts Centre, Pontypridd, on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2.30pm. Written by Steven Lee and presented by The People’s Theatre Company this story is written especially for parents to enjoy with their children. It is a charming tale about the magic of family and the importance of a hug! Tickets cost £6.00, concessions £5.00, family ticket £20.00.

First-class male Postman Pat arrives at The Coliseum Theatre, Aberdare, on Friday, June 18 at 5.30pm and Saturday, June 19 at 11.00am & 2.00pm in the show A Very Royal Mission. The people of Greendale are expecting a very special visitor to open the brand new sorting office… what could possibly go wrong? Tickets for the 90-minute show cost £13.00, concessions £11.00, family ticket £40.00.

Making a very welcome return to The Muni Arts Centre is Boogie Pete on Tuesday, August 10 at 2.30pm. Join Boogie Pete in this lively show based on the highly-successful BBC children’s television programme. Tickets cost £8.50 and this show is recommended for ages two and over.

The Park & Dare Theatre is the place to find Fireman Sam live on stage in a brand new-action packed show on Saturday, September 18 at 3.00pm. There’s never a quiet moment in Pontypandy, with action and adventure as Sam takes to the stage with his friends in this colourful sing along show. Recommended for ages three- seven. Tickets cost £12.00, children £11.00, family ticket £40.00.
