Commenting on the statement by the Minister for Heritage on the New Phase of Visit Wales Marketing Activities, Leader of the Opposition Nick Bourne AM said:
“I welcome the Heritage Minister’s statement today. Welsh Conservatives have long argued for effective marketing of Wales’ many tourist attractions.
“Tourism continues to be a major facet of Wales’ economic landscape and we must see this effectively developed and maximised to attract as many visitors to Wales as possible.
“With the Ryder Cup on the horizon, we have an excellent opportunity to promote Wales on the world stage.
“I would urge the Minister to work with key stakeholders to ensure that the event is marketed to the full and provides a legacy for Wales to be a major player in global tourism.
“This tournament will be the world’s window on Wales – it is a fantastic opportunity that we must not miss.”
