A vision for Pembrokeshire over the next fifteen years has been set out in a new document being published by the County Council.
The Pembrokeshire Community Plan 2010 – 2025 aims to present a clear picture of how the public, private and voluntary sectors can work together to improve the quality of life in the county.
The plan – the third in the Council’s history and adopted at last week’s full meeting of the Authority – sets out the issues that are important to people and identifies the approach that a range of organisations will adopt in attempting to tackle them.
Writing in the document’s foreword, the Leader of the Council, Councillor John Davies, said: “It reflects the progress that has been made since the Community Planning process started at the beginning of 2000.
“The relationships that exist between the partner organisations that operate in Pembrokeshire have always been positive, but we are now working more closely together than ever before.”
And he emphasised that the current financial climate presented an opportunity to demonstrate the true value of partnership working.
The 40-page document covers a number of topics including the environment, economy and housing.
It is available on the Pembrokeshire County Council website: www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk while a limited number of hard copies are also available from County Hall in Haverfordwest; the Council’s customer contact centres and libraries.
