The Friends of Cae Ddol group, in partnership with Denbighshire County Council, are looking for volunteers to help make the area more inviting for both people and wildlife.
The current flower beds need a revamp and three butterfly gardens will be created, with the help of Ruthin primary schools. Suitable plants will be carefully chosen to provide a sea of colour as well as providing a nectar source for butterflies and bees throughout the autumn, spring and summer.
Before the schools can start planting the ground needs to be prepared. Volunteers are invited to dig over the beds on Tuesday, 1st June 5pm – 7pm and Thursday, 3rd June 5pm – 7pm. Meet at Crispin Yard Car Park, Clwyd Street.
All of the necessary tools and professional advice will be provided by Denbighshire Countryside Service.
