Gwent Police is appealing for information to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 1pm today, Thursday 3rd June.
A car and a motorcyle were involved on the collision on the main road, King Street, between Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr.
Two males in the Green Ford Fiesta involved were not injured.
The male rider of the motorcyle has been taken to Nevill Hall Hospital with serious injuries. The female pillion passenger of the motorcyle has died.
The driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving.
The road is closed in both directions to all traffic travelling between Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr.
