Blaenau Gwent Council is supporting a Melin Homes development that will provide affordable housing for Blaenau Gwent.
Work has begun on the £2.25million pound project in Swffryd – which includes 20 much-needed affordable homes.
The homes will also have a range of energy saving features to try and keep costs down for tenants.
The Welsh Assembly Government’s Deputy Minister for Housing, Jocelyn Davies AM joined guests at an official launch.
Blaenau Gwent Council’s Executive Member for Housing, Coun John Mason said:
“Melin Homes has a key role in bringing new and affordable homes to our communities – and we have worked together in partnership to bring about this investment in Swffryd.”
