A display at Nantclwyd Y Dre in Ruthin will show visitors a new way to appreciate archaeology – by hologram.
The Virtual Artefacts exhibition will show precious artefacts which have been scanned and the 3-D images produced mean that they can be shown to the public in any location without the need to disturb the ancient and delicate items.
On Friday 18 June, Llangollen Museum’s David Crane and archaeologist Sarah Pevely will talk about the project and the items which come from all over Wales. The presentation will begin at 6pm and is free.
The exhibition is at Nantclwyd Y Dre until 27 June, after which it will move around Wales. The house is open Friday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Entry is £3.60, £2.50 for children aged 5 to 16. Under 5s free.
