South Pembrokeshire’s AM Angela Burns and MP Simon Hart are pictured at a coffee morning held by Pembroke and Monkton Local History Society.
The monthly events aim to help local residents get together to share memories and photos of both areas from the old days.
“I learned so much about the area from just one visit and found the old photographs of Monkton fascinating,” said Mr Hart.
Mrs Burns added: “The displays of memorabilia, newspaper cuttings and photos were wonderful and the Society has obviously put a lot of hard work into gathering so much information.”
The group enjoyed a coffee morning, raffle and bric-a-brac stall before going on a guided tour of Monkton Priory.
“We are trying to get pictures of the old streets in Monkton that were knocked down and welcome any old photos that we can copy or memories that we can share,” said Linda Asman, chairman of the society.
Pembroke and Monkton Local History Society’s next event is on Friday July 2 between 10.30am and 4pm when memories and photographs will be on display in Monkton Church Hall. Check out pembrokeandmonktonhistory.blogspot.com for more information.
