Learning a language can sometimes be an arduous task, taking years to perfect grammar and remembering vocabulary – but anyone wanting to learn Welsh can learn basic everyday expressions in just a week with the Gwent Welsh for Adults Centre’s Summer School.
The week-long fast track course is aimed at complete beginners who want to learn useful every day expressions – greetings, days of the week, time, weather and interests – ideal for chatting with family and friends.
The course is the equivalent of a six month evening class – all done in one week – so you can go onto the next level in September or later in the summer.
And with the Eisteddfod coming to Ebbw Vale in August – what better time to learn Welsh?!
Classes start on Monday 28 June until Friday 2 July, 9am – 6pm, at Coleg Gwent’s Pontypool Campus. It costs just £40 for the week which includes refreshments and lunch.
