St Deiniol’s Library relaunches Coffee Shop with new name and concept

Historical library, St Deiniol’s, in Hawarden, Flintshire, is relaunching its Coffee Shop on Wednesday 23rd June, with a new name: “Food For Thought”.

Food for Thought will have a new menu, and a new ethos – the team will strive to ensure that they use organic, fairly traded and locally sourced produce wherever possible.

St Deiniol’s has long been a place where people go to reflect and relax. Founded in 1894 by William Ewart Gladstone, and now a charitable trust, St Deiniol’s is located in the picturesque village of Hawarden and known as the UK’s finest residential library.

Food for Thought is an apt name as many visitors to the Library come to find space and inspiration, in fact over 400 books have been written or researched at the library in the last 10 years. Others come to use the resources of one the world’s great libraries and the UK’s only Prime Ministerial library.
