Fun for all the family is being made available at Swansea’s Brynmill Park on the weekend.
A fun day is taking place on Saturday June 19 that will include dance entertainment on stage and creative workshops covering activities such as circus skills and graffiti writing.
Mr Bubbles the clown will also be on hand for children in addition to face painting, storytelling and traditional arts and crafts.
A number of stalls are being set up and games such as Hook a Duck, Hit the Target, Football Tombola and Roll a Coin are being arranged for the day.
The fun lasts from noon until 6pm by the Discovery Centre. Admission is free and refreshments will be available from the nearby kiosk.
Swansea Council and the Tom Morgans Friends of Brynmill Park are behind the event.
The Fun Dog Show is also returning for 2010 to give dog owners the chance to show off their four-legged friends. It costs £1 to enter and will include a demonstration by the Pennard Dog Training Club. All proceeds will go to the RSPCA Llys Nini Animal Centre and the Tom Morgans Friends of Brynmill Park.
Some of the musical acts taking part on the main stage include the Dani Dee Dance Group, an African Aerobics display, the Mellotones Band and the Constellation Big Band.
Steve Hopkins, Swansea Council’s Specialist Parks Development Manager, said: “Brynmill Park Fun Day is always a popular, free event for families.
“All the proceeds will go to worthy causes and the line-up for 2010 means there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.”
