South Wales Police and Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is working together to facilitate the funeral of Stuart Cable on Monday, June 21.
Officers and members of staff from a number of local authority departments will assist Stuart’s family, friends and the wider community.
They advise that High Street and Rock Grounds car parks will be closed to the public as they will be used by vehicles that are part of the funeral.
Aberdare is expected to be extremely busy on Monday with the funeral beginning at St Elvan’s Church at around midday.
Those who do not urgently need to be in town are advised to avoid the area but if attendance in Aberdare is essential please bear in mind that it will be busy and to leave extra time for travelling and parking.
There will be plenty of police on duty to direct traffic and on hand to offer advice.
