Preseli Pembrokeshire MP Stephen Crabb hosted a visit to the House of Commons by County Council Chairman John George on Tuesday.
Accompanied by wife Nan and fellow Pembrokeshire County Councillor Jim Codd and his wife, Joyce of Begelly, Councillor George also met the recently elected Carmarthen West and Pembrokeshire South MP, Simon Hart.
“Our visit coincided with a very busy time for Westminster as it was the same day as the ‘emergency’ Budget” explained Councillor George.
“It was fascinating to witness all the comings and goings and I am particularly grateful to Stephen for taking time out from his hectic schedule to spend some time with us. It was much appreciated.”
Said Stephen: “It was a pleasure to welcome County Councillors John George and Jim Codd and their wives, to Westmininster on such an important day.
“I hope they found it useful to see the new House of Commons at work and also to see of the more historical parts of Parliament.”
