Police in Swansea are appealing for information following the alleged theft of football kits which were destined for disadvantaged children in Kenya.
The kits, which are believed to be 13 in total and are all vacuum packed, were stolen from an address on Tycoch Road, Tycoch, sometime between 5.45pm and 6.15pm on Friday 25th June.
The kit comprised of black and red tops with the wording “Tumaini Kwa Watoto, along with the name of the charity “Children of Hope” and a dove crest, together with black shorts and black and grey socks.
The kits were going to be taken out to Kenya by the Children of Hope Charity.
Pc Chris Williams said “These kits were all packed and sealed in preparation for then to be taken out to Kenya by the “Children of Hope” charity. Should the kits be sold or used then they would be easily identifiable due the distinctive Kenyan wording and the name of the charity on the shirts”
“The kits were destined for some very deprived children, it is possible that a member of the public has picked the packages for safe keeping, and we would like very much to get them back.”
