North Wales Police are aware of numerous reports of attempted abductions circulating in the communities of Prestatyn and Rhyl.
We appreciate that these reports are causing deep concern to local residents.
We are, however, investigating an isolated incident on Millbank Road in Rhyl on June 29, at about 08:15 when a 15 year old female was allegedly assaulted by an unknown male. Details surrounding this incident have been widely reported on numerous social networking sites and rumours of other similar attacks are also circulating.
Some of these reports are known to be false and are causing unnecessary and unjustified concern to our communities and young people.
