Talented Students from Coleg Gwent’s City of Newport Campus recently welcomed visitors to an exciting multimedia event in the city.
The group of multimedia students presented a spectacular portfolio of final year work, featuring films, interactive games, web sites and graphics at Newport’s Riverfront Theatre. Following a launch night on Thursday 17 June, the free exhibition opened to the public on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 June.
It was an excellent opportunity for Coleg Gwent’s budding designers to show off their skills before going on to university, employment or to the Foundation Degree in Multimedia at the City of Newport Campus.
During the show, members of the public interactively experienced a range of multimedia creations produced by the students who study topics including Computer Games Design, Web Design, 3D Graphics and Animation, Digital Video, DVD production.
Head of School for Creative Industries Hayley Wilce said: “This was once again a fantastic event that underlines the unique work done here by staff and students at the City of Newport Campus. Each year the event goes from strength to strength and gets bigger and better.”
