Denbighshire County Council is pleased to introduce a special evening service on Bus Route 76 from 16 July until 27 August 2010.
Route 76 is a rural bus service that currently operates broadly every two hours during the day between Denbigh, Ruthin and Graigfechan (via Llandyrnog, Llangwyfan, Llangynhafal, Hendrerwydd, Gellifor, Llanbedr DC, Llanfair DC and Pentrecelyn) connecting with mainline bus services to Rhyl/Llandudno, Mold/Chester and Wrexham/Llangollen.
As well as serving the rural communities, the bus service also enables tourists to access the Clwydian Range Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and serves eight rural public houses along the route. The additional special evening service is aimed at attracting an increased tourism to the area during the summer holiday period.
The evening service will run approximately every two hours with last buses leaving Graigfechan at 11.39 pm and Denbigh at 10.45 pm.
And don’t forget the Vale Ale Festival bus service, Route 76 on 10 July – no need to find a designated driver for this year’s Vale of Clwyd Real Ale Festival – just hop on the number 76 and get driven direct to the door!
Once again, Denbighshire County Council is enhancing the service to encourage patrons of the Vale of Clwyd Festival of Ale to enjoy a pint safely and responsibly while travelling by bus.
The buses will operate roughly every half-hour and there will be a special evening service with the final buses leaving Denbigh at 10.30pm and Graigfechan at around 11.30pm.
The 76 route runs from Denbigh to Ruthin and Graigfechan, via Llandyrnog, Llangwyfan, Hendrerwydd, Llangynhafal, Llanbedr DC and Llanfair DC. A special bus ticket for the day is just £3 and means that passengers can hop on and off the bus at pubs along the route.
