The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership would like to thank everyone that attended its recent ‘Ask the Panel’ event.
Residents from across Caerphilly county borough were invited to come along and put their community safety related questions to a panel of experts, comprised of representatives from each of the six responsible authorities that make up the partnership.
Superintendant Jon Burley, Chair of the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership said, “We thought that it was only fair to give residents an opportunity to quiz members of the partnership on issues that matter to them in a public arena, and we have been extremely pleased with the feedback gained at the session.

Over 70 local residents attended the session, where questions were put to the panel on subjects including public confidence, the policing pledge, anti-social behaviour, summer schemes and Community Payback in Caerphilly county borough.
One resident who came along to the ‘Ask the Panel’ event said, “I thought it was a great idea to give people the opportunity to quiz the community safety panel members, and it provided a good opportunity to find out what is being done to tackle anti-social behaviour and crime in our area”.
The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership is a multi-agency organisation, whose six responsible authorities are Caerphilly County Borough Council, Gwent Police, Gwent Police Authority, South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority, Aneurin Bevan Health Board and Wales Probation Trust.
It works to reduce levels of crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour and build public confidence levels in Caerphilly county borough.
