Residents across Caerphilly county borough can again take advantage of a FREE bus service to this year’s Big Cheese Festival in Caerphilly.
Caerphilly County Borough Council is keen to attract as many local people as possible to this year’s event, therefore has organised a special free bus schedule for the festival, which takes place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th July 2010.
The Big Cheese weekend is the biggest annual event taking place in the county borough, offering an exciting programme of events, activities and fun for all the family.
Free bus services will pass through a number of towns and villages en route to the Big Cheese site in Caerphilly.
Cllr Lindsay Whittle, Leader of the Council said, “The free bus routes proved very popular last year, and I hope by putting on a similar service again this year we will attract even more people to this fantastic weekend festival.”
He continued, “The Big Cheese is the pinnacle of our summer events calendar, offering something for everyone, and I would encourage as many people as possible to come along and join in the fun”.
The free buses will drop off and pick up at the main bus station in Caerphilly town centre, allowing visitors to visit the local shops and restaurants in the town centre before making their way to the event site.
