Angle all-weather lifeboat tows yacht to safety

A 22 foot yacht, which hit engine problems off the Pembrokeshire coast, was towed to safety by Angle RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat in a five-hour mission on Saturday (24 July).

The Tamar class lifeboat Mark Mason was launched shortly after 9am, at the request of HM Coastguard, to go to the aid of the yacht, which was off the Smalls.

The lifeboat reached the casualty, which had two persons on board, in a hour and took her in tow to Milford, arriving at 1.40pm. The lifeboat was back at her station shortly after 2pm.
