Police re-appeal after death in Penclawdd

South Wales Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses following the death of 57 year old Philip Henry Williams in a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 10:30 pm on Saturday 24th July 2010 on the Crofty Industrial estate Penclawdd, Swansea.

Inspector Jason Stroud of the Roads Policing Unit said “A number of people have come forward and have provided us with invaluable information to this tragic incident”

“However we are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward and in particular to pedestrians who were walking on the pavement towards the scene after the accident.”

“Also we would like to hear from a couple of lads who drove into the estate after the accident.”

“I would emphasise that we wish to speak with these individuals purely as witnesses”

A 45 year old man has been arrested in connection with the collision and is currently on police bail pending further enquires.

Officers are also appealing to anyone else who was in the vicinity at the time and witnessed the incident or saw the manner in which a blue Mitsubishi 4 x 4 vehicle was being driven prior to or following the collision to come forward.
