Commenting on the latest employment figures, Shadow Minister for the Economy, David Melding, said:
“Unemployment can have a considerable impact on people’s lives and the consequences for communities across Wales can be far-reaching.
“These latest figures show that tackling unemployment remains the biggest challenge facing the Welsh economy.
“Working in partnership, the UK and Assembly Governments face the challenge of making it easier for businesses to recruit and expand to reduce Wales’ long-term unemployment levels.”
