New look for library

Caerphilly’s Deri Library has undergone a fantastic mini makeover, creating a modern, vibrant space for people of all ages.

The newly re-furbished library has enhanced its facilities for children and young people, and now has an informal learning space for adult education classes too.

It also boasts redesigned high quality, modern interiors with brand new furniture and improved lighting, computers and free internet, a new and improved area for children – a wonderful place for stories and meeting friends and lots of comfortable seating.

Cllr Phil Bevan, Cabinet Member for Education and Leisure said, “These excellent improvements to Deri Library will really help to enhance the services we are able to provide for residents in the area”.

Deri Library was recently also awarded a special ‘Library of the Year – Learning Promotion and Support’ award in recognition of its work in the local community supporting education.
