Two kayakers were paddling in Port Eynon bay on Sunday when one of them noticed that the other had suddenly capsized andwas drifting onto rocks on the Horton side of the bay. The other kayaker immediately called for help.
At 9:05am Horton and Port Eynon inshore lifeboat was immediately launched and soon found the casualty on the rocks. The casualty had cuts and bruises and was shaken. The casualty was taken aboard the lifeboat back to the beach where Coastguards were waiting.
The RNLI crew members began first aid treatment and as a precautionary measure paramedics were called to assess his condition. Thankfully although shaken he was OK.
