Gwent Police is appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 4.45pm yesterday, Monday 30th August on the B4235 in Shirenewton near to the Carpenter’s Arms Pub.
The collision involved a silver/grey Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle and a black Peugeot 206 car.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 26 year old male from Aberdare sustained fatal injuries.
The people travelling in the Peugeot, a man, woman and two children were uninjured.
The road was temporarily closed while the emergency services were in attendance.
