Gwent Police is carrying out an investigation to locate a Newport man.
31 year old John Le-Sauteur, from the Maesglas area, hasn’t been seen since the early hours of the morning on Sunday 12th September when he was at Newport Town Bridge on Clarence Place.
It has been confirmed that at approximately 1am he went into the water of his own accord. There are no suspicious circumstances and searches have been carried out to locate him involving police officers, the police helicopter, the coastguard and SARA.
Mr Le-Sauteur is described as 5’11″ tall, of a slim build with short black hair. He has a piercing in his left eyebrow – a stud. He has a number of tattoos; the names of his four children, who are aged between four and ten, on his body – Natasha, Christopher, Corey and Lacie. He also has stars on the left side of his neck and a tribal symbol on the right side of his body.
When he was last seen he was wearing dark blue jeans, a light pink t-shirt and brown/ tan slip on shoes.
John’s family have released the following statement;
“If he’s out there and he can we just want John to contact us, or anyone else he knows, just to let us know he is alive and safe.
We all love John and we miss him, and just want to know that he is OK.
We are asking anyone with any information or anyone who sees him to contact his family or the police.”
