Commenting on the publication of a critical report into failings which allowed a paedophile to abuse children in three South Wales local authorities, Shadow Minister for Health and Social Services, Andrew RT Davies said:
“This report highlights a catalogue of errors and failures to respond to cries for help from the children involved.
“Many people in positions of authority need to digest this report and determine whether they could have done more to identify evidence of abuse.
“Many people will have difficulty in understanding why cries for help went unheeded for such a long time.
“We must now ensure that all organisations charged with protecting the vulnerable in society learn the lessons from this case so we never see a repeat.”
