McDonnell Road is using their funding for advertising, to set up the internet, a MEW stock control system, staff wages, CCTV and to install a new shop front and flooring.
Jeff Cuthbert said: “I am absolutely delighted that there are three post offices in my constituency which have received substantial funds and that the Caerphilly area is benefiting from the Post Office Diversification fund. Post Offices are at the heart of the community and are often a lifeline for vulnerable people.
“This money will help us to keep Post Offices open by ensuring that sub-postmasters and sub-postmistresses have sustainable and viable businesses. I am pleased that the Labour-led Assembly has been able to provide this support and so many Post Offices in Wales have been able to take advantage of it.”
