A group of Coleg Gwent students collected awards this week for their success in developing their English language skills.
The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) students have spent the past year improving their English language through reading, writing, speaking and listening and citizenship skills. The group of 80 students successfully passed their exams in June and were awarded Cambridge skills for life certificates at Coleg Gwent’s City of Newport Campus.
Course tutor Geraldine French said: “Congratulations to all our students graduating from the ESOL course. This year has been particularly successful in terms of student progression with many students going on to mainstream vocational courses, university and employment.”
