North Wales Police are warning students in Bangor to take extra care when they are out and about the town at night.
Detective Sergeant Ynyr Hughes said: “It would appear that there is a gang operating in this area at the moment so we are warning students to be extra vigilant.”
Meanwhile one person had been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries following an incident in the early hours of Saturday October 2 when two students were robbed and assaulted.
