Manselton Primary School will be closed on Monday and Tuesday next week as inspections are carried out on the school roof.
It’s after a tile fell from the roof, possibly due to recent strong winds and heavy rain.
Due to the height of the school building, the Technical teams need to inspect the roof from an Aerial Platform Lift to see whether or not further work is required.
A spokesman for the Council said: “The safety of children at the school is always our number one priority.
“No child was at risk at the time of the incident. But it’s important we check the roof to ensure it is completely safe.
“We will be starting checks on Monday morning and will keep the school, parents and pupils updated as soon as we know more.”
