The Stoop and its fans haven’t had much time to relax since last Saturday’s game against London Irish when, on the 80th minute of the game, Rory Clegg sent a 43 metre kick soaring through the posts to equal the score and gain the side two more very valuable points.
This Sunday, Quins will turn their attention to a new competition and to the inaugural weekend of the LV= Cup, when they face the Scarlets. Although Quins beat the Welsh side, both home and away, in last season’s Heineken Cup pool, Quins will be wary of their opponents this time round, as they have already beaten London Irish and Brive in the Heineken Cup this term.
Both sides will be without their international contingent with Danny Care and Ugo Monye in Martin Johnson’s starting line-up for tomorrow’s game against Australia. Chris Robshaw will lead out a similarly strong Quins team to the one that started last Saturday against London Irish.
The only change to the starting line-up is in the front row where Aston Croall, Chris Brooker and James Johnston join the Quins pack. John Andress moves to the bench.
The remaining changes are on the bench, where new signing Matt Cairns makes his debut, joining fellow team mate Waisea Luvenyali, who makes his first appearance for Quins this season.
