Tidy Ted and Eco Eli entertain local kids

Thousands of schoolchildren in Pembrokeshire are set to benefit from a fun-packed musical show that aims to encourage us all to become more aware of our environment.

The Gregory Brothers’ Tidy Ted and Eco Eli road show is visiting the county’s primary schools to perform their all-singing, all-dancing cabaret act.

The group has performed all around Wales and this is the first time they have come to Pembrokeshire.

Funded by the Local Environment Quality Grant from the Welsh Assembly Government, the performance details what harm littering and dog fouling does to towns and villages, and educates children about the need to reduce, reuse and recycle our waste.

By mid-November, all the County’s primary school children will have had the opportunity to see the show.

It was launched at Johnston CP School recently in front of an audience that included Cabinet spokesperson for Environmental and Regulatory Services, Councillor Ken Rowlands.

“The show is a lot of fun and succeeds in conveying a serious message in an entertaining way,” said Councillor Rowlands.

“I’m sure that the children will have benefited from seeing the performance, and that it will have a long lasting impression on them.”
