Appeal following collision in Rhyl

An appeal for witnesses is being made by police after a 9-year-old girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being involved in a collision in Kinmel Bay, Rhyl, on Tuesday.

At 5.04pm (Tuesday, November 16) police received a report of a collision involving a blue coloured Ford Galaxy and a 9-year-old pedestrian on St Asaph Avenue in the town.

Police attended along with the Ambulance service.

The 9-year-old had sustained a serious head injury and was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan and was later transferred to Alderhey Hospital.
