Principality Premiership Round Up

Pontypridd extended their lead at the top of the Principality Premiership with a bonus-point 28-15 victory over Newport at Sardis Road.

Ed Siggery, Owen Williams, Lewis Williams and Ken Knaggs all crossed the whitewash and Dean Gunter kicked 10 points.

Owen Broad and Ross Coombes touched down for the visitors.

Second-placed Neath claimed the narrowest of wins with a 26-25 triumph over Llandovery. Wings Tom James and Kevin James sped over for the hosts and centre Stephen Thomas also crossed before kicking a penalty. David Langdon knocked over eight points.

Wing Lee Rees kicked five penalties for the Drovers, while Adam Warren and Ifan Evans scored tries but it was not quite enough.

Scrum-half Tom Isaacs scored a brilliant hat-trick as Swansea secured an impressive 38-15 win at Pontypool Park.

Number ten James Dixon also scored a try in an 18-point haul and centre Hanno Dirksen also sliced through the Pontypool defence.

Gareth Williams and Sam Pailor scored for the hosts and Geraint O’Driscoll kicked five points.

Cross Keys claimed a bonus-point 34-25 win in their mid-table clash at Cardiff.

Fly-half Steffan Jones returned to haunt his former club with a 24-point haul, including two tries, and back rowers Rhys Williams and Tom Lampard also barged over.

Owen Williams and substitutes Richard Smith and Shaun Powell crossed the line for the Blue and Blacks.

Glamorgan Wanderers remain bottom after Bedwas claimed a convincing 22-10 win at Bridge Field.

Full back Stuart Thomas scored a try in his 12-point tally and Kristian Owen and Sam Feenam also touched down. Openside Josh Navidi gained a consolation for the visitors.

Elsewhere, newly-promoted Tonmawr continued their impressive season in the top flight with a 24-12 win over struggling Carmarthen Quins at the Whitworth Ground.
