A bus route serving the needs of the residents of Pontypridd Common is being improved thanks to the support of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council.
The 104 Pontypridd to Upper Boat Tesco local bus service, operated by Humphreys Coaches, will continue to serve The Common and Graig yr Helfa, with extra journeys being introduced in the afternoon, departing Pontypridd at 16.12 and 17.12 and departing Upper Boat Tesco at 16.41.
However, the 07.12 journey from Pontypridd to Upper Boat Tesco will be withdrawn due to very limited passenger usage.
Councillor Andrew Morgan, Cabinet Member for Customer Care, Emergency Planning and Transport said, “Local residents have told me how pleased they are with the service provided by Humphreys Coaches since they started running on the route in June. The additional journeys that the Council is funding will be a further improvement as we seek to develop a working partnership with this new operator.”
These changes are to be introduced on 6th December 2010.
