Detectives in Swansea have charged a 34 year old man and a 23 year old woman and have recovered a batch of heroin with a street value of over £25,000 along with over £2,000 cash.
Following intelligence led operation the 34 year old man was arrested on Mount Pleasant Hill, on Wednesday 1st December, where he £2,000 in cash was recovered.
Officers later searched an address Gomer Road in the Townhill area of the city where the heroin was recovered and a 23 woman was arrested.
Both have been charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply and possessing crack cocaine and have been remanded to appear before Swansea Magistrates on Friday 3rd December.
Detective Sergeant Steve Phillips who led the operation said: “This has been a significant seizure and has ensured that a substantial amount heroin will not find its way onto the streets of Swansea.”
“We will not tolerate individuals who supply and deal on the streets of our communities and those that are caught can expect to face the full force of the law.
“I would appeal to anyone with information on those who are involved in drug or criminal activities to come forward”
