Asghar: 2012 Olympics to award Welsh medals to winners

Commenting on the news that the 4,700 medals being awarded at the 2012 Olympics will be produced at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant, Mohammad Asghar AM, Shadow Minister for Heritage, said:

“The announcement that the medals for this major world event are going to be produced at the Royal Mint in Llantrisant is great news for the local economy and for Wales.

“This is a prestigious opportunity and shows how Welsh businesses with a dedicated workforce and an efficient approach can benefit from the 2012 Olympic Games.”
