People of all ages flocked to Caerphilly Leisure centre over the weekend to make their own special lantern ready for this year’s River of Light Parade.
Over 700 visitors have already been to the workshops with over 500 lanterns made. With one weekend of workshops left we are aiming to break records with the number of lanterns made this year.
The second set of FREE lantern-making workshops took place on Saturday and Sunday when nearly 300 colourful lanterns were created in preparation for the popular festive parade next week (Thursday 23rd December).
This year’s theme – ‘Christmas Carols’ – is proving to be really popular making Saturday and Sunday’s workshops extremely busy. This coming weekend sees the final set of workshops take place at Caerphilly Leisure Centre from 10am until 5pm on both days.
Come and join in the fun, take the family out and get in the festive spirit.
