North Wales Police officers have today formally identified two young boys and their mother who were found dead at an address in Trawsfynydd on Sunday evening.
Izaak Stevens aged 2 years and his brother Phillip Stevens aged 5 years were found dead in their bedroom at the premises. Post mortem examinations revealed both boys had been suffocated.
The boy’s mother Melanie Stevens was also found dead at the premises and her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Detectives continue to conduct enquiries at the location with a view to establishing the exact circumstances leading up to this tragic event.
DCI John Hanson said ‘We continue to gather evidence and the Coroner is appraised. Family liaison officers continue to work closely with the family and contact has been established with victim support.”
