The four people are currently in custody being questioned in connection with the robbery at the Morrison petrol station in Denbigh on Tuesday, December 28, and the robbery at the Esso Garage in Ruthin on Wednesday, December 29.
A 20-year-old man, a 23-year-old man, a 20-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman have all been arrested on suspicion of robbery at both locations.
Supt Andy Jenks-Gilbert of the North Wales Police said: ‘The Police are extremely grateful for the response from the local community in Denbigh and Ruthin in relation to information concerning recent robberies at commercial premises in the area. During the evening of Thursday 30th December, armed and unarmed Police Officers were involved in an operation where a number of search warrants were executed at addresses in the local area. As a result, 4 persons are in custody in connection with the robberies and enquiries are continuing. The assistance of the pubic is still sought and anyone with any information that may assist in the investigation is encouraged to contact the North Wales Police by dialling 101 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
