At 5:30 pm on 1.1.2011 the volunteers the RNLI’s station at Burry Port launched to a report of persons cut off on the sandbank behind the Shoreline Caravan Park.
After an extensive search involving the Inshore lifeboat and Burry Port coastguards no one was found to be in trouble. The search was called off at 6:20pm.
The lifeboat was crewed by Gary Morgan, Lee Howells and Daren Caines.
